Sam's garage needs cleaning...

This is a short stop motion film set in a 1/10 scale diorama I have built. The main character is a Sam Fisher action figure from the Splinter Cell games. It's a simple little story of him moving into his new house and setting up his garage.
My main interest is building scale radio control off road vehicles. This project started as a bit of a side interest to be used to display my 4x4 builds, but has quickly taken prime position of my projects and has taken on a whirlwind life of its own! 
Except for a handful of items, I have built everything myself from scratch using modeling plastic, wood and some everyday household items. Stop motion is a great way to express ideas that may not otherwise be possible on a low budget in film. This is my first real stop motion and I have to say....I'm hooked!!
The stills were taken with a Nikon D3100 and it was produced using iMovie. It took around 15 hours to produce the two and a half minute film.

A first attempt at stop-motion, and it took a full week to shoot and edit. Shot on a Canon 550D and edited using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects,Photoshop and a hell of a lot of coffee!

Stop Motion using the Rubik's Cube, prepared for the chair of Project 6 - Animation, the Graphic Design course at UNIJUÍ - Brazil, second half of 2010, by student Tiago N. Oliveira.

The proposal was to use the cubes to make the famous game: Snake.

Animação em Stop Motion usando os Rubik's Cube (cubo mágico), elaborada para a cadeira de Projeto 6 - Animação, do curso de Design Gráfico, da Universidade Regional do Noroeste do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul (UNIJUÍ), segundo semestre de 2010, pelo aluno Tiago N. Oliveira.
