LOS ROSALES

Uploaded by Vimeo User Fabrica

Los Rosales is an odyssey through, Fabrica film maker, Daniel Ferreira's steampunk robot vision; what started as music video for, Fabrica musician and composer, Jhon William Castaño Montoya developed into a a synergetic balance of harmonious narrative. Constructed from cardboard sets, old computer machine parts, and metal wire, each piece was individually moved to create a stop-motion animation of over 21000 frames. The story brings us to a harsh industrial world where a humble, solitary robot is stuck in a repetitive life turning wheels and cogs all day to produce his only means of survival – one small monthly rose. The beauty and nutrition of the rose, in the jarring landscape drives his search for meaning. As machine parts start to break down his skills are put to the test in finding his own path.

Ah the power of stop motion to animate a coke can

Published on Mar 1, 2017

and Pepsi cannot.

This short demonstrates the power a simple animation can have on an inanimate object. Watch as the coke can appears to be flattened by a hand and then uses it's new "springy" ability to hop right off the screen! Very clever use of stop-motion animation!

Since we aren't black belts in real life, we have to do all our tricks lying down. Just apply a little bit of stop-motion to bring it to life!

Euphoria. A Stop motion Animation by Guldies

I want to keep doing what I love. It would mean the world to me if you somehow support my art by clicking this cute link: https://www.patreon.com/guldies

Oh my. I finished it. I'm finished as well. I'm exhausted. What happened? I've worked so hard. I've spent too many hours on this, but somehow it was worth it. Every new project is like an emotional journey. I've felt so many things through this particular journey. I have never been so pumped up and excited for anything, but at the same time I have never been so miserable. Miserable because I put too much pressure on my weak heart... it's pretty strong but whateva... I'm proud of this animation. Really proud. And I really hope it gives you joy. You give me joy. 20.000 of you. It's crazy. Can't believe it! I will celebrate this milestone with you guys. With this animation! The animation consists of around 2000 still pictures. I don't have the guts to estimate the time it took, but I'll do it anyways. Because I'm gutsy. I think everywhere between 400-600 hours. Gosh darnit. I don't know! I used a Canon EOS 600D. I animated in DragonFrame and edited MANY MANY pictures in Photoshop CS6. I rendered everything in Sony Vegas Pro 10. Poop.
The sound effects comes from Freesound dot org. They are outstanding.
